Al Nasr Football Company Signs Serbian Coach Slaviša Jokanović to Lead First Team

Al Nasr Football Company has officially announced the appointment of Serbian coach Slavisa Jokanovic as the new head coach of the club’s first football team for the upcoming season.

The contract signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Nasr Football Company, Dr. Hamad Al Falasi, CEO of the company, and Mr. Rocco Maiorino, the club’s Sporting Director.

Jokanovic expressed his great happiness with this new chapter in his coaching career, stating that he thanks the Al Nasr management for their trust. He believes this is a great step for him and is happy to be working with one of the biggest clubs in the country. His goal is to develop the team and compete for titles, and he is confident in his ability to achieve that.

He added that he is not a stranger to this country, having visited Dubai many times and being familiar with the football scene. He has been following the UAE league for years and believes in the quality of the competition and his ability to contribute positively to the team.

Jokanovic also noted that he has recently followed Al Nasr’s matches and recognized the potential within the squad. He stated that the team showed good performances during certain periods of last season, despite some defensive issues, and that they will work on improving the overall performance and take positive steps forward.

Referring to his previous experience in Qatar, he affirmed that it would help him adapt quickly to the football environment in Dubai. He mentioned that the climate is similar and that his time in Qatar gave him a solid understanding of the region’s working conditions.

He concluded his statement with a message to Al Nasr fans, saying he hopes to enjoy the season together, compete strongly, and gain the support of the fans to achieve success and end the season with happiness.
